A SMALL fire started in a microwave at the weekend.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that crews from the Malton station were called to the incident, in a residential property in Scarborough Road in Norton, at 3.30pm on Sunday.
The fire started in the microwave but was out on arrival of crews.
Crews ventilated the house and had to administer oxygen to the house occupant due to minor smoke inhalation.
