PLANS have been put forward for a £3.5 million residential development in Norton.

Residential property developer Rockliffe Homes Ltd has partnered with UK home builder Keepmoat Homes for its latest development of six high specification properties on a 2.27 acre plot off Langton Road.

The site, which includes a private wooded area, sits adjacent to the new Keepmoat Homes development, which was granted planning permission to build 79 two, three and four bedroom properties last May.

Subject to a planning approval, work is anticipated to start in early 2019, with residential property firm Carter Jonas set to be appointed to act as the sales agent at the site.

Alex Spencer-Mills, Rockliffe’s development director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Keepmoat in order to facilitate the acquisition of this land in Norton, which we believe provides an ideal location on which to build a number of high-specification, bespoke executive homes that will meet the needs of home-buyers in the area.

“Part of our unique offering is that we are not beholden to a limited range of house designs, and so we can take stock of the land in question and adapt our style and approach to deliver a truly unique development that complements and enhances its surroundings.

“On this occasion, this approach led us to a parcel of land which sits alongside a larger Keepmoat development which we felt provided an excellent opportunity for development, and we are looking forward to pressing ahead with the build once planning has been officially granted.”

Mark Leaf, land and partnerships director at Keepmoat, said: “This development is in a superb location, on the edge of Norton; surrounded by fantastic amenities and stunning countryside, and ideally situated for those looking to commute to York, or the East Coast.

“As part of our plans to deliver this stunning new community we are also delighted to be partnering with Rockliffe Homes.

“We trust that this is the first of many projects that we will be working on together moving forward.”

The six Rockliffe Homes properties will include three, four bedroom houses, and three, five bedroom houses. The larger homes will also include a private paddock.
