TWO young brothers gave something back to their local community this Christmas.
Felix Saunders, aged five, and his eight-year-old brother Robin, who live in Rillington, organised a Christmas afternoon tea for senior citizens this weekend.
The boys, who both attend Rillington Primary School, decided to host the event to help older
people and bring them together.
Their mum Angela said: “The inspiration came from Felix.
“He was sat eating his dinner at the table and said that we should be doing nice things for the ‘olden’ people.
“We decided that we wanted to do an afternoon tea for senior citizens in Rillington to help them out and bring them together.
The event included Christmas music, hot and cold refreshments, sandwiches and cakes.
Angela added: “It was brilliant. The kids loved it.
“We are incredibly proud of them and are delighted to embrace their feelings and ideas about charities and helping others.”
