Barry Tuck - The Storm
Storm chasing at Whitby in November gives you some incredible seas crashing into the harbour walls. A strong easterly gale drives the waves straight down the river mouth to show you its raw power.
Lynn Wraith - Approaching Snow Storm
Watching a storm approach Peyto Lake in Canada was an amazing sight to watch. I was standing in bright sunshine witnessing the changes to the landscape and captured this image just as the snow started to fall.
Iain Leadley - The Cormorant
The photo was taken at Scarborough Mere in March of last year. It was snowing quite badly when I set off before sunrise, and my wife thought I was daft for going out, but I wanted something a bit different. Panning the camera for moving subjects usually gives a nice effect as it blurs the background, but in this shot it’s also helped bring out the snowflakes and I think shows the weather as it really was.
Mike Chapman - Trees at Sunset
A noted stand of trees just north of Welburn. A hurried drive from Pickering enabled the trees to be captured against the spectacular sunset.
John Clifton - Eilean Donan Castle
Probably one of the most photographed castles in Scotland, illuminated here by a sudden shaft of sun after a typically stormy spring day.
