AN appeal has been made for information on a 1920s van which has been restored.
John Dawson, who lives near Hornsea, has been working on the 1922 living van for a number of years.
He said: “I am aware it had its first resurrection by Dave Dobson in the Pickering area before finding its way to our local farm auction at Steve Turners of Garton Aldbrough.
“I traced the lorry that towed it which was still at Pickering on a farm and reunited the unit with the trailer.
“A lot more restoration has taken place since then.
“On the kitchen ceiling there looks to be an original art work which is very unusual.”
Mr Dawson added: “The van is called a Scottish Rib 1922 of which there were only several made.
“It served its time at a fairground at Seaton Carew in the north east. Originally it would have been towed with a steam engine.”
Anyone with more information should phone Mr Dawson on 07803 245423.
