A RYEDALE charity which provides fun social singing sessions for older people in rural communities has been given a £500 boost by a local building society.
Musical Memories was given the cash by the Malton branch of Skipton Building Society last week as part of its Grassroots Giving scheme.
Charlotte Jackson, from the branch, said: “Musical Memories were worthy winners because of the work they do locally, helping to support the elderly community in providing a place for them to go and have fun.”
Musical Memories was one of the 165 organisations chosen nationally this year through Grassroots Giving, which was launched in 2013.
