AN evening of live entertainment is being organised by Malton Town Council in aid of the both the mayor’s charities - Friends of Malton Hospital and Acorn Trust.
Malton School orchestra and choir will be the opening act for this unique event, followed by the well-known local brass ensemble Charity Brass.
Peter Woodrow, the Malton School orchestra and choir director, said: “I am delighted to see a growing interest and thrive for music in young people in the local area surrounding Malton.
“Malton School musicians, and pupils from numerous primary schools, will be working hard to make this an evening to remember.
“Our programme will consist of well-known classics, from across the eras; something which everyone will enjoy.”
The concert will take place on Saturday, March 2, at 7pm, at the Milton Rooms, Malton.
There will be a raffle on the evening and bar will be open for refreshments.
