A TUMBLE dryer caught fire in a Ryedale village on Monday afternoon.
North Yorkshire Fire an Rescue Service were called to Sinnington at about 3.30pm.
Emergency crews from both Pickering and Kirkbymoorside fire stations attended the scene.
They extinguished the flames using a hose reel and also had to use breathing apparatus due to the smoke.
A spokesman for the fire service said that the cause of the fire was “kitchen towels covered in oil”.
