A LAW firm has expanded into York.

North Yorkshire Law, based in Albemarle Crescent, Scarborough, have seen an increase in business in York and the surrounding areas and set up a new office at The Innovation Centre.

Natalie Foster heads up the new site, and said: "This is a very exciting move for our clients and everyone involved in the business. The addition of a York office allows us to be on hand to give the best service for those instructing North Yorkshire Law to undertake work on their behalf."

The company was formed in 2000 from the amalgamation of several local firms and also have an office in Whitby. In the last year, the firm has seen an increase of 15 per cent in case load, offering assistance and advice on Probate, family Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and Business and Commercial matters.

Richard Boyd, managing partner, said: "Having lived in York and carried out my training there, I am more than happy to take my present firm back to the city. There are many exciting opportunities for us to provide our brand of service to both new and existing clients."
