'Large number' of scrap vehicles on fire in Pickering
FIRE services were called to a fire in a Pickering scrapyard last night.
The call-out, at 7.25pm, was to a fire involving "a large number" of scrap vehicles.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The cause is believed to be deliberate at this time."
Crews used four hose reels and two main jets and ten set of breathing apparatus.
The incident was left open for a revisit this morning.
