A MALTON shop has celebrated its ‘first’ birthday - and raised a bit of money for the Injured Jockey’s Fund at the same time.
Parnaby’s, on Wheelgate, is a saddlery, equestrian and country clothing shop. Although it has centuries of history since its founding in 1725, the celebration earlier this month marked a year since it reopened under new management.
Lisa Wilson-Kallagher of the shop said: “We had a lovely evening sharing bubbles and cake with some of our wonderful customers, who all made a £5 donation to the Injured Jockey’s Fund.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support and custom over the past year.”
