NORTON Town Council has recommended refusal of plans for two three-bedroomed houses on the site of a former veterinary practise.
An application has been made to Ryedale District Council to demolish the single storey building in St Nicholas Street, Norton, and build the semi-detached houses.
Town councillors raised concerns that the site was on a flood plain and was an inappropriate design for the existing street scene of terraced houses.
