DANCERS from Kirkham Henry Performing Arts Centre in Malton have enjoyed a bumper year at the 2018 Elmet Dance Festival.
Held at Sherburn in Elmet, about 80 young dancers, aged from five to 15, took part, performing in dances, musical theatre and vocal solos.
Dance teacher Michaela Kemp said: “All the dancers did amazing and our final medal results were 24 first place gold medals, 34 second place silver medals, 17 third place bronze medals and 21 fourth place medals. We were also awarded 16 special trophies.
“Teachers at Kirkham Henry said it has been the best festival so far with brilliant team spirit; we are all extremely proud.”
