THE 1812 Theatre Company’s pantomime returns to Helmsley Arts Centre (HAC) next week.

This year’s production includes Red Riding Hood, Granny, the Big Bad Wolf and a host of other entertaining characters to introduce you to the panto season.

Directed by HAC’s Artistic Director, Natasha Jones with choreography from Ashton Danby, this year promises to be a spectacular community event bringing together a whole host of talent from Ryedale and beyond.

With a cast and crew of 50 aged five to 60-plus, 14 musical numbers and a Yorkshire comedy duo, the stage will be brimming with energy and festive spirit. The volunteer wardrobe team have been busy sewing, sourcing and creating the most vibrant of panto costumes for the audience to feast their eyes upon and with songs from Dolly Parton to Bruno Mars, there really is something for everyone,

1812 Youth Theatre member Amy Hughes takes the female lead as Red Riding Hood with Kerrianne Lining as her lovable sidekick Peter Piper. Isobel Zarb brings the thigh slapping Prince charming to the stage and Martin Vander Weyer dons his best frock as our galloping Granny.
