STUDENTS at Norton College learned vital stills as part of Restart a Heart Day.
During the morning, pupils across all year groups had a chance to learn a life-saving skills, including CPR.
Students also learned about the purpose of CPR and how to use defibrillator.
They also watched an instructional video from the British Heart Foundation.
Jan Pettitt, PE teacher, said: “Last year the British Heart Foundation (BHF) trained 195,000 young people in CPR.
"This year the BHF is promoting the initiative once more to enable more life-saving knowledge to be passed on.
"It is an invaluable skill for our students."
