A MAN in his 30s has died following a crash on the A19 near York this morning.
In a statement police said that the collision involved a Volkswagen Passat which was hit by a tanker style HGV on the A19 near Tollerton.
A spokesperson said: "Sadly the driver of the car, a man in his 30s from York, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and the family have been informed.
"The road remained closed until 2.45pm to allow for a detailed examination of the scene."
