SCHOOL children in Ryedale have designed the new home cards for a new estate and lettings agency.

Pupils at primary schools including St Mary’s in Malton, Terrington Hall and Settrington All Saints entered the competition run by Boutique Property Shop Ltd in Malton.

The five winning designs will be printed and sent out to welcome clients to their new homes.

Jo Jarrett, director of the business, said: “I felt it would be a lovely opportunity for the local children to get involved and demonstrate their wonderful, creative talents. My two daughters Evie and Jasmine were the judges. The designs were really impressive. There are some very talented children in Ryedale and it’s a great opportunity to demonstrate their ability and get creative.”

Three runners-up were also selected and all received a book voucher. The winners were Isabel Spiteri, 10, Sofia Tyler, seven, Julia Montserrat, nine, Jessica Cook, six, and Ruby Cooper, four. The three runners-up were Willa Porritt, six, Georgina Bailey, five, and Annabelle Free, five.

Jo added: “Thank you to all the schools that took part and all the children for their wonderful and inspirational designs.”
