PICKERING Town face an FA Trophy First Qualifying Round replay on Tuesday evening after drawing 2-2 with Droylsden at Mill Lane in the first instalment.

Billy Logan's last-minute strike earned the Pikes a second shot after they had twice fallen behind to their visitors.

Droylsden first took the lead in the 31st minute when Sefton Gonzalez headed home but the scores were level shortly before the hour mark when Josh Greening slotted home Logan's superb pass.

However, within six minutes, Gonzalez had put the away side back in front – from another header.

With their Trophy dream ebbing away, Paul Marshall's hosts showed their resilience in the final minute when Logan fired home from the edge of the box.

Elsewhere, while Tadcaster Albion were without a game at the weekend, Scarborough Athletic suffered a narrow 1-0 FA Trophy defeat at Workington AFC.

Scott Allison was the hosts' match-winner, in the 27th minute, when Kyle May's shot was blocked and Allison forced the rebound over the line.

A late Joe Leesley goal was not enough to prevent Harrogate Town suffering a first away league defeat of the season at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Alex McQueen struck twice towards the end of the first half to put the Daggers in control of the National League encounter, and they held out for a 2-1 home win.

In the Northern Counties East League, Knaresborough Town sit third in the table following a home goal-less draw with Bottesford Town, while Harrogate Railway Athletic are rock-bottom after a 2-2 draw at Goole.

Visiting Railway twice took the lead through Adam Turner, but Daniel Barrett and James Allan – two minutes from time – ensured honours ended even.

Selby Town are seventh in division one following a 3-2 victory at East Yorkshire Carnegie.

A large portion of the sparse crowd were travelling Robins fans, and they were treated to some fantastic football, especially in a sparkling first half.

However, after going three goals ahead, Town allowed Carnegie back into the game, and their fans had to endure a nervous last quarter of an hour before victory was finally sealed.

It was almost all change at the back for Selby with Zac Lawrence and Ryan Woodhead coming in at full back and Alisan Ann returning in the middle.

Up front, Joe Dale was absent, while Liam Flanagan moved out wide to accommodate the returning Carl Stewart. The bench saw Will Ramsay returning from suspension along with new signing Josh Winn.

And the Robins surged into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Woodhead in the 16th minute, Flanagan in the 23rd, and Sam Cable eight minutes after the break.

Carnegie goals from Danny Walker (64) and Jamie Reeson (80) made for a nervous finish.

Their first league win in three moves Selby up and they have two home matches this week to garner more points.

The Robins renew rivalries with 18th-placed Carnegie on Saturday at The Fairfax Plant Hire Stadium after they have entertained Swallownest, who are 15th, on Tuesday evening.
