FOR the third year running, Whitby's 'Musicport' festival is taking to the road to put on performances at venues in surround villages.
The concerts are only happening in the evenings over five nights, from Monday October 22 to Friday 26, with daytime school workshops and one daytime concert.
There is a large range of acts, from Namibian jazz singer Erna Chimu and her band on Monday night to Martha Tilston at Ailsaby on Friday.
Thursday sees folk duo Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage at the Hut in Goathland.
Organiser Jim McLaughlin said: “We and the artists love taking some of the spirit and the wonderful music from the festival out into the glorious landscapes of the area surrounding Whitby, and are very grateful to Arts Council England and the Normanby Trust for helping this to happen.
"We hope local residents will join us as they have done in previous years to ensure we can make this an ongoing and ever-developing part of the festival."
