NEW information cafes to help people affected by Parkinson’s are opening in Ryedale.

They will be run by Parkinson’s UK and will take place in

Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley.

Tracy Westgarth, area development manager for the North at Parkinson’s UK, said: “These coffee mornings offer information, friendship and support to local people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers to make sure that no one has to face Parkinson’s alone.”

They will take place at:

Steam & Moorland Garden Centre cafe, Pickering, 10.30am to noon, the first Wednesday of every month;

Kings Head Café, Kings Head Hotel, High Market Place, Kirkbymoorside,11am to 12.30pm, the first Thursday of every month;

Feathers Hotel, Market Place, Helmsley, 10.30am to noon, the second Thursday of every month.
