INTRUDERS have broken into a shop in Malton overnight.
The front window of Universal Geek in The Shambles, which opened in July, was smashed and a number of items taken during the break-in.
Sally Coultman, who runs the shop with her partner Mark Brannan, said: "It is a real blow as we have only been open for a few months.
"They must have climbed in as various things have gone including items I had handmade which are one-offs."
