HEWORTH have been gifted the two points they needed to secure the Yorkshire Men's League division one title.
Scheduled opponents Skirlaugh Bulls A were unable to raise a team for this week's scheduled clash, handing the Villagers the crown.
With only next Saturday's local derby at York Acorn A remaining, Heworth have an unassailable lead at the head of the table, guaranteeing them a home fixture in the end of season top-four play-offs which commence in a fortnight's time.
In division five, Heworth's A team match at Dewsbury Celtic A was also called off in similar circumstances.
