MALTON was the venue for “Britain’s Tastiest 10k” on Sunday.
The sold-out Marathon Du Malton - a 10K run, walk or stagger around “Yorkshire’s food capital” - saw 250 participants take part in the fun run which took the form of a food and drink trail.
As a nod to the famed Marathon Du Medoc, upon which the run was based, it started with a shot of wine from the Medoc region, courtesy of Maison Du Vin.
Then, on the route itself, runners could snack on everything from mini burgers and Yorkshire puddings.
The route was planned by Visit Malton CIC. Director Tom Naylor-Leyland said: “We are absolutely thrilled, our very first Marathon Du Malton was a sell-out success. We have been inundated with requests from even more interested participants, so are already in the planning stages to bring a bigger Marathon Du Malton back next year.”
