MUSICPORT presents Sally Barker at The Hut in Goathland on Saturday, September 1, with support from Kate Covell-Bullock.
Sally has been around for decades but her voice just gets better with age.
Whether she is singing to seven million on the final of TV’s The Voice or to seven people in a local folk club, Sally is the consummate professional.
Organiser Jim McLaughlin said: “I’ve followed Sally’s career over a lot of years ,in fact I have an original vinyl album of hers from the 1980s.
“People often are disparaging about TV shows like The Voice but in giving Sally that audience it has reinvigorated her career which was struggling after the premature loss of her husband.
“Without The Voice one of the great voices of her generation could have been lost.”
