A 20-YEAR-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency crews were called to reports of a person trapped in a vehicle near Kirby Misperton at 1.54am.
Fire crews from Pickering and Malton, who attended the scene, found the driver was out of the vehicle when they arrived and laid in a field with multiple injuries.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firecrews used a ladder to bridge a trench in the field to get to the injured driver, a male aged 20 years. The crews assisted with administering first aid until the ambulance arrived which then took the injured male to York district hospital.
