A 12-YEAR-OLD boy suffered multiple injuries after falling 50 feet into a ravine from a rope swing.
Firefighters helped a mountain rescue team and paramedics rescue the child from the ravine off Stainsacre Lane, Whitby, on Friday night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay used a ladder, lines, stretcher and lighting to aid him and carry him to the nearest road, where an ambulance crew took him to hospital with multiple injuries.
