RYEDALE inns, hostelries and businesses are well represented amid the finalists for this year’s White Rose Awards 2018, a celebration of Yorkshire tourism and the largest tourism awards in the UK.
In a range of categories from holiday parks to hotels, attractions to arts & culture, local businesses have been declared finalists in the contest after a record-breaking number of entries - up 20 per cent on last year.
Professor Colin Mellors, chair of the White Rose Award Judges, said: “Winning a White Rose Award is a real accolade for Yorkshire’s tourism businesses and the task of shortlisting has been harder than ever.
"With such tough competition, and a record 170 entries, selecting the winners this year is going to be extremely difficult.”
