RYEDALE District Council has warned that a committee meeting this week will have a maximum public attendance of 75.
The meeting of the policy and resources committee is due to be held on Tuesday in the council chambers at Ryedale House in Malton.
One of the items on the agenda relates to the provision of swimming lessons in Ryedale pools and who can deliver them - a matter that has proved controversial in recent months.
A notice on the RDC website says: "It is understood that members of the swimming clubs wish to attend this meeting.
"Following a health and safety risk assessment, it has been confirmed that up to 75 members of the public can be accommodated at the meeting, 50 seated and 25 standing.
"The swimming clubs are asked to liaise regarding numbers of attendees to ensure that this limit is not exceeded."
