A BUS route which runs from Malton across the North York Moors has been voted Britain’s most scenic.
More than 15,000 people cast votes in an online poll, sponsored by the transport users’ watchdog Bus Users UK, to choose the country’s most captivating journey from a shortlist of more than 25 with the Coastliner 840 service, which runs between Malton and Whitby, winning the title of Britain’s Most Scenic Bus Route.
Coastliner CEO Alex Hornby said: “I’m absolutely delighted that our Coastliner service is now officially Britain’s Most Scenic Bus Route – especially as the votes have come from the people whose views matter most of all to us, those who travel on our buses.”
