RYEDALE Community Transport has added a new vehicle to its accessible fleet.
The vehicle, a Peugeot Boxer, is specially adapted to take two wheelchair users and up to three seated passengers.
Ken Gill , chief officer of Ryedale Community Transport, said: “The vehicle has been purchased thanks to a very generous donation of £10,000 from the Kirby Foundation.
“This vehicle will enhance our ability to provide more local wheelchair users and those with mobility problems access to affordable, accessible transport.
"We work very closely with other Ryedale charities and community groups and will be able to transport wheelchair users to their regular social activities, which will result in people feeling less socially isolated and lonely.”
