Cash stolen in village burglaries
CASH has been stolen from two shops in Thornton-le-Dale.
Police said that the burglaries happened overnight between 5pm on April 6 and 9am on April 7.
They said: "Unknown offenders have smashed the windows of two shops on Maltongate.
"They have gained entry and stole cash."
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Jane Jones.
