UPDATED: North Yorkshire Police have confirmed Mrs Hunter has been found safe and is now in hospital.

A spokeswoman thanked the public for their help, and said Mrs Hunter was found in farmland near Seamer.

POLICE have issued an urgent appeal to find a missing woman.

Denise Hunter, 52, from Seamer, was last seen by her family at her home address at 9.50am yesterday (April 8) and has not been seen since, North Yorkshire Police said.

A spokeswoman for the force added: "Police are becoming concerned for her whereabouts and are asking for the assistance of the public in locating her."

Denise is described at 5ft 8in tall, of large build with long blonde hair and speaks with a southern accent. She is thought to be on foot, but walks with difficulty due to an ankle injury. It is believed she is wearing black trainers with a white trim.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Denise, or who has any information which could assist the investigation is asked to phone North Yorkshire Police's Force Control Room on 101, select option one and pass on the information.
