THE third annual Great Cake Bake Off in Salton will be held on Saturday.
This year, proceeds from the event will be shared between the church and Help For Heroes as the date coincides with the Bake for Heroes Fundraising Fortnight.
PCC member June Brook said it was a good opportunity to support such a worthy cause. “My son-in-law Andrew, who served as Regular on the Kosova Millennium Tour, and in the Army Reserves in Bosnia, three tours in Iraq, as well as helping with security at London Olympics and Paralympics has first hand experience of mental illness suffered by colleagues and the support they have from Help For Heroes.”
The competition with classes including the best decorated cake and tastiest cake will take place at Salton Village Hall at 2.30pm.
