A 25-YEAR-OLD woman had to be rescued by fire crews after becoming stuck in mud.
Three fire crews from Whitby, Lythe and Robin Hood's Bay were called to Upgang Ravine in Whitby to help the woman, who was trapped waist deep in the mud at 2.13pm yesterday.
They used a ladder, salvage sheet, and mud lance to pull the woman to safety. She was then checked over by ambulance crews who were also called out, no further update was available on her condition.
