TWO so-called 'calving' gates have been stolen during a theft in central Malton.
Now police are hoping witnesses can help identify the thieves.
The theft occurred on Saturday, March 3 at 7.05pm.
Occupants of a white Luton-style van broke the lock off the gates of a commercial premises on Horsemarket Road, before stealing the two calving gates and making off.
The van was parked on Horsemarket Road as the offenders gained entry, and CCTV shows people in the area.
Calving gates are specialised farm gates with a smaller gate within them.
Police said: "If you were witness to this incident or have dashcam footage of a Luton van in the Malton area around the time of the offence please contact North Yorkshire Police quoting reference number NYP-03032018-0434."
