RUGBY union for women is back on offer at Malton & Norton, following a successful England Rugby “inner warrior” camp.
Training sessions take place on Mondays at The Gannock from 7pm to 8pm.
The club’s head of women and girls’ rugby, Ian Hepworth, said: “It was great to see 11 ladies turn up to the inner warrior camp in January.
“We had 13 last week at the first proper training session. It’s exciting to see numbers building.
New players are still welcome. We have got big plans for this team.”
Most of the players involved were new to rugby so the emphasis has been on basic skills and fun. Any women aged 17 and over are welcome to turn up at future training sessions, which are free of charge with no need to book.
