ST Nicholas Street in Norton is closed to traffic this morning.
Yorkshire Water are carrying out essential infrastructure works at the junction with Welham Road.
Access is available for residents and a diversion is in place.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “Our contract partners, Morrison Utility Services, are currently on-site at St Nicholas Street to repair damage to the water main. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to return the road back to normal as soon as possible.”
