AN auction of 80 lots - including a tour of the House of Commons and dinner at a local establishment - is to take place for charity.
The auction, raising money for the Saint Catherine’s Hospice Atlas Mountain Challenge, will be held at the Royal Oak, Old Malton, on Friday, February 2.
The lots will also include paintings and photographs, a Jacques table football set, pottery and much more.
Marion Hunter, of the Royal Oak, which is hosting the event, said the lots had all been donated by locals and local businesses.
“It’s so generous of them - we’re happy to host it again,” she said.
About 40 Saint Catherine’s Supporters will take on the Atlas Mountain Challenge between September 29 and October 6. The ascent of Mount Toubkal - the highest peak in Morocco and Northern Africa - is the key objective of the challenge.
Doors open at 6.30pm, and Master of Ceremonies Stephen Edwards, director at Cundalls, will start the auction at 7.30pm.
All proceeds will go to the Saint Catherine’s via their 2018 Atlas Mountain initiative.
A charity spokesman said: “We look forward to seeing you just to join in the fun or even to bid for one or two items.”
