PUPILS at Amotherby Primary School are enjoying the great outdoors thanks to a new classroom.
Amotherby School Volunteers and Awards for All Grant have provided funding to enable the school to create a purpose built outdoor classroom.
The area was designed and built by Playscheme enabling the grounds of the school to be used for children's learning outside. The work station includes a bird watching area and wild flower garden.
Headteacher Sue Knowles, said: "We are delighted with the project as it allows all children to learn in the outdoors. We are really lucky at Amotherby Primary School to have such fantastic grounds and this new outdoor learning environment allows us to promote children to care for the wildlife and promote learning outside."
