POLICE took to social media to celebrate and give thanks for a special gift received by some of their officers this Christmas.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police were on patrol in Scarborough on Christmas Day when they returned to their vehicle to find a surprise.
On Twitter, they wrote: "How lovely is this?
"While some of our Scarborough officers were on duty on Christmas Day, seven-year-old Florence left some chocolates and a thank you note on the windscreen of their vehicle parked on the seafront. Thank you Florence, it made their day!"
