Fire crews attend chimney fire
FIRE crews have attended a chimney fire at a property on Westgate in Thornton-le-Dale.
The callout was last night at 8.44pm.
A fire engine from Pickering attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
Fire services say the fire was confined to the chimney's flue - crews used a hose reel and chimney rods to extinguish the blaze.
