A WOMAN was taken to hospital this morning after a car crash in which her car ended up on its roof.
The crash, on the A169 near Pickering, was discovered at 8.38am.
Police officers on their way to a briefing came across the silver Toyota Yaris on its roof in a ditch.
A police spokesperson said: "The woman driver of the Yaris was taken to hospital for a check up.
"The road was clear by 10am."
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service added: "We were called to an RTC at 08:42 this morning.
"We sent one ambulance to the scene and we transferred one female patient to Scarborough Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be serious."
