VOLUNTEERS from the North York Moors National Park Authority and Helmsley Walled Garden came together to help prepare a cornfield flower meadow for reseeding next spring.
A total of 19 volunteers, nine of whom are more usually found carrying out practical conservation tasks on the North York Moors, joined forces to help turn over a large area of border.
Tricia Harris, marketing manager of Helmsley Walled Garden, said: “Maintaining such a large garden requires a great deal of work, and that’s why we’re so grateful to the volunteers of the National Park Authority for helping us prepare for next spring.”
