A HEAVY goods vehicle overturned into a ditch in a village near York yesterday.
The vehicle, which was carrying potatoes, ended up in ditch at the side of the B1353 in Stillington.
Emergency services were called to the crash at about 7.45pm.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire fire service said a crew from Easingwold made the vehicle and area safe with police while they waited for the recovery vehicle to arrive.
