THE ever popular Little Habton Fun Dog Show takes place on Sunday August 6.
Every year dogs of all shapes, breeds, sizes and ages bring along their owners and take part in events ranging from the waggiest tail, puppy classes and cross country obstacle races to finish with terrier racing. The dog scoring most points wins the annual cup.
'Its an excellent opportunity for puppies to learn to socialise' explains organiser Camilla Tetley, 'as well as young dog handlers to experience competitions in the ring; but basically its all about fun.'
The fun dog show is an event that can be enjoyed by people with or without a canine friend, providing entertainment, a Barbecue, music provided by Swinton and District Excelsior Band, and afternoon tea plus homemade ice cream. All the proceeds are for St Laurence's Church Kirby Misperton and St Chad's Church Great Habton. The Show is held at Manor Farm, Little Habton and starts at 12.30pm with the BBQ, dog events at around 1.30pm.
