FIRE and Rescue staff from Malton have helped rescue of a horse called Elvis who was stuck in mud.
The animal was trapped up to his shoulders in a boggy field in Jervaulx on the edge of the Dales.
Alongside crews from Masham and Leyburn, Malton crews were sent to help due to their having specialist Animal Rescue staff.
Wensleydale-based Yoredale Vets also helped in the rescue.
Rob Horton, station manager for the Richmondshire district, tweeted that after being extricated from the deep mud, Elvis was now "safe and well".
