PUPILS have joined forces for an event organised by Howsham Mill, in conjunction with Foston and Terrington Primary Schools.
Author Sarah Dixon, who is currently seeking publication of a science fiction book for children, worked with youngsters from Years 6 and 7 at Norton Primary School, Foston and Terrington Confederation, Terrington Prep School, Leavening Primary School and Gillamoor Primary School, who created a science fiction themed piece inspired by the mill as a setting.
Sarah Moore, headteacher at Foston and Terrington primary school, said: "Howsham Mill is a fabulous resource for children to experience outdoor education and inspire their creativity in a way inaccessible in the classroom.
"The children love their days here and have done a variety of activities, including forest schools with qualified teacher, Helen Spring."
