SPECTACULAR views of the North York Moors National Park can now be seen in all weathers all year round thanks to a new calendar.

Farndale calendar, put together in aid of the Farndale Village Hall rebuilding fund, showcases some of dale's most fantastic views.

The photographs have been taken by various residents and the artwork done by Jason Ferdinando, a graphic artist who lives in the dale with his family. He volunteered to produce the calendar a few years ago and has produced it each year ever since.

The calendar began in 2006 after the work of Derek Pickering and Angela Smith, from Kirkbymoorside Camera Club, was spotted by James Thurtell, who then had the idea to produce a calender.

The calendar costs £6 and £3 per calendar will go towards the village hall. The other £3 will go towards printing costs.

The residents of Farndale are currently looking at plans for a similar village building to the original village hall as it is nearing the end of its life. They plan to submit a grant application for Big Lottery funding later this year to move forward with the plans.

The calendars can be bought from the Feversham Arms Inn, in Farndale, Lion Inn, in Blakey, and BATA Kirkbymoorside.
