POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a collision near Sutton Bank.
The crash happened at about 10am today and involved a Triumph motorcycle and a white Volkswagen Sirocco at Scawton, about a mile from the top of Sutton Bank.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from the Harrogate area, suffered serious injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was travelling in the company of two other motorcycles at the time the collision occurred.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles prior to the incident to contact them with information.
