Easter Fair & Farm, Castle Howard
There is something to keep everyone entertained at Castle Howard this weekend from a traditional fairground to farm and children’s activities.

Try your luck at hook a duck or test your aim on the coconut shy before having a spin on the carousel or a ride on the big wheel.

There will be a number of creepy crawlies to hold if you’re feeling brave or if farm animals are more your thing there will be rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs, mini pigs and pygmy goats.

There is also an Easter egg trail, crafts and a magic display.

The event is open from 10am-4pm and is included in the grounds admission although there is a small charge for some stalls.

Easter at Nunnington Hall
It’s that time of year again when everyone’s thoughts turn to chocolate and visitors to Nunnington Hall can take part in the Cadbury Easter Trail around the grounds until April 12 for just £2 per person, earning themselves some scrumptious chocolate along the way.

The trail will explore Nunnington’s many international links as you walk around the house and gardens, encountering cuddly chicks and lambs along the way.

On Sunday and Monday there will also be a bouncy castle, face painting and a variety of races. The Hall is open from 11am-5pm and adult entry is £8.25 per person.

Easter activities, Rievaulx Terrace & Temples, Helmsley
From today (Friday) until Monday, eagle eyed explorers are encouraged to come and delve into the mysterious world at Rievaulx.

Sir Thomas has lost his horses and now he can’t get home in his carriage. Only a keen eyed explorer will be able to find his horses across the woods and terrace of Rievaulx. Find them all and he will reward you with a shiny Cadbury Easter Egg.

£2 per person to take part and adult entry is £5.95. The activities will run from 11am-5pm.

Hovingham Village Market
On Saturday from 10.30am-1.30pm in the Village Hall there will be more than 40 outdoor and indoor stalls for guests to browse as the award winning market makes its return for another month.

There will be plenty of local, fresh, healthy and seasonal vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, chocolates, cards, soaps, clothes and crafts.

A unique partnership with the community enables local organisations to run their own stalls and a Community Cafe for visitors as well.
 

Daffodil Dale, Farndale
Join the Farndale WI as they serve teas in the Band Room, in Low Mill, Farndale on Easter Monday.

From 11am-3pm there will be the chance to sit and relax with a delicious home baked treat and enjoy refreshments in the heart of the famous Daffodil Dale.

The event will also give those who wish to find out more about the WI a chance to ask existing members more about what they do and why it’s a great organisation to be a part of.

Admission is free and there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cold drinks.
